So what's with the kaleidoscope image?

I am a great believer in the power of perspective.


When I was 11 years old and deathly ill in the hospital my aunt Jill gave me a kaleidoscope. On my darkest days, there was usually some light in my room that I could look towards and see a rainbow of colours dancing through the lens. When I was high on pain killers the view was psychedelic.


It's always enlightening to find a different viewpoint.

As your Mother, I have seen firsthand how your outlook on life has helped carry you through some very difficult times. Your perseverance, your sense of humour, your empathy for others, your discipline, are greatly reinforced by this perspective which not only positively affects your own life but the lives of those who love you.
